Pule, Goodman elected unopposed
Pule Shayi and Goodman Mitilene were elected unopposed as chairperson and secretary respectively at the 8th Mopani ANC Regional Conference held from 19 to 21 June.
Delegates gathered at four different venues video linked to the main venue Karibu Lodge to comply with COVID-19 regulations.
Gerson Molapisane from Bolobedu South was elected as deputy chairperson beating the Mayor of Greater Tzaneen Municipality, Maripe Mangena with 91 votes.
Dagma Mamanyoha from Greater Letaba got the approval of delegates as the deputy secretary defeating Erick Hlungwane from Ba-Phalaborwa with 81 votes.
Maruleng based Blantina Rakganya was elected as treasurer against fellow comrade with 94 votes.
The following comrades made it to the Regional Executive Committee as additional members, Thandi Zitha, Sonia Ngobeni, Joyce Mahlo, Tsheko Musolwa, Magdeline Lewele, Thomas Makondo, Merriam Malatji, Mokgadi Makhurupetji, Percy Ndlala, Regina Nghunyule, Didodo Rapatsa, Aleck Nkuna, Ernest Mboweni, Lucky Mohlala, Martha Maswanganyi, Monet Mabasa, Peter Ngobeni, Odas Ngobeni, Dikeledi Mmetle and Maria Mokgwathi.
The newly elected ANC Regional Executive Committee will run the affairs of the ruling party in Mopani for the coming four years.
